Chocolate and Avocado Mousse with Salty Caramelised Almonds

Chocolate avocado mousse

This is one of my favourite desserts at the moment. It’s so delicious, natural and easy to make. If you need something sweet you should definitely try it! This recipe is made using raw chocolate.

Avocados are great sources of vitamins E, K and B, all of which help to keep your body strong by regulating your metabolism, keeping your bones strong and keeping your skin glowing. Avocados are also a great source of fibre.

1 and 1/2 ripe avocados

1 ripe banana

2 tablespoons of chia seeds soaked overnight

1 bar of organic raw chocolate

1 tablespoon of honey

2 tablespoon of rice milk (optional)

100g almonds

1 tablespoon of coconut oil

1 tablespoon of honey

pinch of sea salt

1) Melt the chocolate bar in a pan with a little bit of rice milk

2) Peel the banana and avocado, then place everything into a blender and blend until creamy

3) Put everything in a bowl and then put the bowl in the freezer

1) Grind the almonds with salt

2) In a frying pan, put one tablespoon of coconut oil

3) When the oil has melted, add the almonds and fry until toasted

4) At the end add a tablespoon of honey

Maria’s tip: This mousse is best served cold (almost frozen) but can also eat it at room temperature straight after it’s made!
