Why You Need To Use A Facial Oil Every Day

When I recommend Rejuvenate Facial Oil to clients, many imagine it will create oily skin. It’s a common concern and an absolute myth. A quality facial oil used in the right way balances your skin whatever the weather, resulting in a smoother, softer appearance and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Here I share how facial oil is an invaluable ally for healthy skin that needs to feature in your daily skincare routine.

What to look for in a facial oil

Don’t let yourself be put off by the fact it’s an oil – a well formulated facial oil can help to regulate sebum (oil) production. Oil’s natural affinity to skin is an ideal carrier for other natural ingredients, making them easily absorbed through your skin’s pores right down to it’s core.

Good quality facial oils are a concentrated blend of plant and essential oils rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins and nutrients which are formulated to replenish and protect skin inside-out. What differentiates high quality facial oils from your other facial products is they never contain water.

Your night time skincare routine

Beauty sleep is not a myth. Night time is when our skin cells renew and repair themselves. Feeding our skin with a quality facial oil enhances this process. It therefore makes sense to apply facial oil at night, after toning.

To optimise absorption and relaxation simply massage a small amount of oil into your face and neck using upward strokes (avoid downward strokes as these encourage wrinkles!). Do place your hands near your nose and inhale deeply before you massage the oil into your skin, as the essential oils are there to heal our senses too.

Rejuvenate Facial Oil is specially formulated with organic rose geranium and frankincense which regulates sebum production as well as improves skin tone. On another level, rose geranium helps to balance the mind and emotions.

Plant oils are not all created equally, each has a distinctive consistency. For example thistle oil is dry whereas avocado oil is thick and heavy. It’s another reason for having your facial oil specially blended by a Clinical Aromatherapist. Because, let’s face it – most of us don’t realise the complexities and healing power of oils beyond that mythical oily t-zone!

“My skin does feel softer and look fresher and I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely oil.”

– Judith D

“I have only been using it for a few days but the difference in my skin is amazing … I am a lady of a certain age and not too happy with the changes in my skin so to have found a product which smells and feels so beautiful and which is also affordable is an absolute pleasure. “

– Sally G

If you haven’t already, why not take up my facial oil challenge and commit to using either Rejuvenate Facial Oil or Calm Facial Oil daily for 4 weeks and watch your skin transform?
