I received my Hatha and Ashtanga yoga teaching qualification in the yoga capital of the world Rishikesh, India. Before that I practiced at KPJAYI in Mysore, India where I fell in love with and committed myself to Ashtanga. I was naturally born with the need to help people and I come from a long line of nurses, the desire to ease pain is in my blood. I feel that the combination of me being a qualified therapist and a yoga teacher I can really get close to people and understand how each body feels using pressure – pleasure and pain, how it moves and also how each limb has its own character and charm.
I learnt Tok Sen Thai massage whilst in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. When I was introduced to the sensory experience, the smell of the oil, the touch of the Tok Sen and the rhythmic sound of the tapping, they all combined to bring me into a meditative state. After this I had to learn it, and wanted to share it with more people. I find being a qualified masseuse a soothing affair and during my work I share this relaxing energy with the client.
